Every year 40% of food in the US and 50% of food in the UK goes uneaten, most ends up in landfill. Foodji strives to encourage the user to either use up their food before it goes out of date, donate it to a food bank or compost it. Swipe left on your list of groceries to say what you have done with that item. Swipe left on your list of used, donated, etc items to re-add to your main list thereby saving yourself time adding a new item. Look at your graph daily or weekly to see how well you are doing! Together we can reduce this mountain of food waste, which in turn will reduce methane emissions (from rotting food in landfill sites) and hopefully save ourselves some money in the process! (You can choose to upgrade to an ad free version of Foodji within the app.)
